I think that this is likely a Reichswehr bottle. But, I'm not in any way an expert on Reichswehr equipment. I don't think anyone who regularly posts on this forum knows much, if anything about this. You might have more luck on the Third Reich forums.

Your item looks similar to the Labeflasche 31 for Gebirgstruppe and Sanitaetspersonal, but the straps are somewhat different. It held one liter. If it isn't a RW canteen it's a close copy perhaps for the civilian market?
