Just added this to my collection and I wish to share. The details of this medal in my opinion it is very imptrssive.

This is a short descrition of the medal:
The 70th birthday decoration is a private foundation of the former King and Emperor Wilhelm II. ( 1859 – †1941 ) It was donated on the occasion of the birthday celebrations. The celebration took place in the Huis Doorn house in the Netherlands exile. This decoration received persons from the friend and family circle, the direct environment as well as persons who were close to the former emperor and belonged to the well-wishers. The official guests came on January 24th to congratulate. Among the well-wishers were various representatives of ruling and retired houses, representatives of the military such as Field Marshal August von Mackensen. The award number of the memorial sign is given as approx. 290 pieces. At the main celebration on January 27, 1929 about 100 pieces are said to have been issued.
