Mining WAF for Metapedia

Normally, I wouldn't put a link on here as it might at some point go dead.

But, I thought it a bit disconcerting that someone copied images of my collection, posted at various times on WAF and created a Metapedia page from them without asking my permission. All items shown, except the photo (Parademarsch der Garde-Landesschützen-Abteilung „von Neufville“ in Frankfurt a. M., 1919) are owned by me.

I suppose all of us have posted images on here of things that aren't ours. But, I think it's a bit of a presumption to do it on such a public site like Metapedia. I guess the upside is at least, that it provides needed information and increases the interest in the subject.

This is apparently a common habit these days. Some do the research and others try to get the credits by just "stealing" the information, as well as photographic material.
Most often they do not even ask permission, or give a proper credit.
