              Why? its simply a fantasy piece....there isnt much to explain here... no FK group ever wore such a thing.

              If you are serious about collecting Freikorps consider picking up catalogs from Haarcke, as well as Hartung and the 1937 book created by Ernst v. Salomon, (who was part of a Freikorps group) "Das Buch vom Deutschen Freikorps Kampfer". Also, there is a wealth of info in this forum.

              The amount of fakes surfacing is steadily increasing, use caution.

                These are purported to actually be armbands worn by foreign volunteer (Rumanian or Hungarian, for example) concentration camp guards. But, that's pure nonsense. These are fantasy pieces put together over the last 10 years or so.
