I posted some photos of this knife, can anyone tell me anything about it ? This knife belonged to a good friend of mine from Germany who told me her father used it in France. Thanks for any help. Ralph

that is a cool piece!..
Yes from WW1 ,,and a common folding knife.. BUT, the engraving on it is very nice for such a plain knife.. Perhaps a present to the Guard from their commanding officer ,,or the guard group got together and decided to have the knifes made for themselves for the holidays,etc. Pretty good condition for a over 100 yr old utility used piece!
