    Flieger Max Thiemichen of Freiwilligen Flieger-Abteilung 426.

    In August, 1919, the Air Regiment Veinshenk made up of FA 424 and FA 426 had 32 aircraft was was based in Radziwiliszki (Radviliškis), Lithuania, where this photo was taken.

    Previous to this, FA 426 had been involved in the attack on Riga on May 22, 1919, and had initially been founded to serve in Eastern Border defence (Grenzschutz Ost) where it battled the Red Latvian Air Division near Moscow above the village of Podosinki.

        No, unfortunately. the arm badge is extremely rare. That is a scan from Ingo Haarcke's book on Freikorps insignia.
