      I like it. It has some atypical details such as the claws not touching the banner, the tiny eye, short beak and only 4 feathers in mid-wing. I like anomalies like this because fakers tend to always follow well-known patterns. Also, the enamel is glass. not acrylic as seen on the fake enameled, double-eye SAs.

      However, the narrow block hinge is actually quite typical of Freikorps period awards.

        Thanks Brian. It came from an old collection with a few other items, all good. The construction is good imo, I just couldn't find a match.

          Good one as far as I am concerned too! I have seen a few before of the same design and Philips Militaria has the same type for sale now
