Badge O Slask-- "Silesian Eagle" from the other side

    Hi Gents,
So I obtained Association membership, and it's time to publish some info as promised once. I will start from this the only known picture showing the reverse of ever elusive so-called "Polish Silesian Eagle". I hope you will be astonished not less then I did seeing this picture for the first time Enjoy!
P.S. As far as I'm concerned this is the only type which considered to be original and officially awarded.

      Hi Don,
Exactly! Can you imagine this ? The battle in Silesia is just finished, and Polish insurgents are ordering badges from Berlin. Amazing

It drives home the saying, "Money talks, BS walks".

The award and badge makers of post WW1 Germany seem to have done very well for themselves.

Serg - Excellent, reference picture. Thank you!

To make it looking more like a "reference thread" I will add some pictures.
Another badge and screw plate (probably made in Poland ) close up.

              Hi,

and as a supplement the "third party" Silesian medal, issued by Comission Interaliee. Was awarded to French soldiers and officials mainly, but also to British & Italian.

              greetings from capital of Silesia
              Tomasz
