Reichswehr cap ??

i should like to have the comments of the specialists about that cap,also some infos about the ink stamps inside the cap.

IV A.K. is 4. Armee Korps. General Command of the IV Army Corps in Magdeburg. Corps Area: Province Saxony and Duchy of Anhalt.

It's hard to make out exact colour of the cockade. Is it black and white? or black and yellow?

I think this is quite early 1919, certainly before September 1919 when the oak-leaf wreath was added to the bottom cockade.

Its an early issue cap with war era Prussian cockade... you'll need to do some homework but I do not think these were issued with this type of cockade, its likely an add on. Its typically the embroidered version.

This link, post #9 shows a model 1919 universal cap missing its visor, but it has identical stamps.

The small, smeared stamp on yours appears to be "JR17" ...Infantry Regt. 17

First,thanks a lot for those precious infos and link to War relic,was very interresting thread about Reichswehr caps.

About the cockade i think it is black and white,but the white turned a little bit yellow.
