    Horst Wessel Poster

Thought I would share some photos of a small Horst Wessel poster I picked up about 17 or 18 years ago. I have never seen another like it.horst1.jpg

This is not the forum for this. Please put it in the Nazi section.

Yes, but the poster is post 1933, is a Nazi commemorative and belongs in the Third Reich section, if for no other reason than it would have a more interested audience there.

This section is for Freikorps and Weimar militaria.

Tell me please: for what reason also "Der Stahlhelm - Bund der Frontsoldaten" is included in this section?
See the various threads about this organization......!!

Because it's primary existence was during the Weimar period from 1918-1933, and it was in fact founded ostensibly as a Freikorps and WWI veteran group and served a Freikorps role for a short time in early 1919. It's existence during the TR was comparatively brief.

Despite Wessel being an early SA leader and extremist fanatic nutcase from the mid 20s to his murder in 1930, this poster is pure Third Reich and doesn't belong here. It belongs on the Photos and Paper item Forum in the Third Reich section.
