Good morning, having already had one unsuccessful attempt at buying an original of these I thought I'd better ask you guys BEFORE I buy this one ...

Any problems please ? I'm used to seeing the eagle in black, is this one as it should be ?

original from early 1920s.

Silesian Eagle came in various finishes and metals (silver, brass, tombak, bronze, Alpaca, aluminum, German silver, zinc). Finishes: blackened, oxidized, brown ladquer, silver as is this one, gilt, unfinished brass, black enamel etc.

However, the price is too high, IMO. 60-75 Euros would be more in line for one like this.

Nice one Ian. Dont know much about prices/values but in my limited experience you dont see white ones in as nice a condition as this very often. The last white one of this exact same type I saw had gold devices on a silver eagle but, as Brian says there are many variations of this award with different hardware metals and finishes but its a well known variant
