Anyone have any information on this group of men, the location and time period? They are wearing armbands(two different types that I can see and different variations. Perhaps homemade?)and there are a couple of civilians in the photo. There are also a lot of teen/boys in the group too. Thanks again!

Is this a monument to Bismarck? His likeness and a quotation from him are in the center of the structure. "We Germans fear God, but nothing else in the world!": Bismarck speaks to the Reichstag (Feb. 6, 1888). Franco-Prussian War memorial?Last edited by BlackWatch1; 11-02-2014, 12:34 PM.

There were many paramilitary and nationalist organizations formed during and after the Freikorps era, many of which are undocumented. Notice none of them are armed... if nothing else, it could be an adhoc Heimatwehr group along the eastern boarder, sometime during the Polish Uprisings... their WW1 era kratchen seem to point towards a time during or immediately after the Freikorps era.
