    Are these men Freikorp?

Anyone have any information on this group of men, the location and time period? They are wearing armbands(two different types that I can see and different variations. Perhaps homemade?)and there are a couple of civilians in the photo. There are also a lot of teen/boys in the group too. Thanks again!

Can't help you with your question...but that's another amazing photo...

It must have taken forever to line everyone up...and have them clinging to the monument...

No wonder they all look so grumpy...

Is this a monument to Bismarck? His likeness and a quotation from him are in the center of the structure. "We Germans fear God, but nothing else in the world!": Bismarck speaks to the Reichstag (Feb. 6, 1888). Franco-Prussian War memorial?

There were many paramilitary and nationalist organizations formed during and after the Freikorps era, many of which are undocumented. Notice none of them are armed... if nothing else, it could be an adhoc Heimatwehr group along the eastern boarder, sometime during the Polish Uprisings... their WW1 era kratchen seem to point towards a time during or immediately after the Freikorps era.

I doubt this is even post-WWI. It's probably during and is likely a German youth group like Jung Deutschland, based on the armbands.

This is a tough one for me. I did some research that states that the Jung Deutschland Bund was an umbrella organization of civilian military youth groups. This photo is unnamed then as to the group but maybe was under the Jung Deutschland administration. Here is a photo I found on the net of the Jugendwehr in 1915 and they are in civilian attire.
