This might be Nachrichten, but it is not at all the official insignia for that for the Stahhelm-organization.
The design for this is in some ways a look-a-like for the Postal Telegraphendienst insignia as worn upon the collar, as in use in the 1920's!

Within the Stahlhelm-organization this insignia was worn upon the piped shoulder-belt. Anyway this is ordered in a regulation. The guy with the shown photograph does wear the insignia as in use for Nachrichten-SA.
