    From RH to WH

    Hello

I'd like to present you this

My RW to WH equipment and uniform, wich is the same from one army to another, just 3 insignias to add/remove.

I wanted to make a transitional 33-35 set, but some things are still missing.

    Go for pics first:

The m28 jacket is 1929 dated, with a replaced by dark green collar, and from IR15 then IR5 stamped.
It came without insignia, so I added LW tresse and flatwire m34 eagle (not woven) on the traces left, waiting bevo m34 eagle and RW tresse.
Boards are m34 but enlisted, so again with LW tresse not woven waiting nco m34.
Same with m36 collar tabs, waiting for fledgrau back ones.

Belt, buckle, ammo pouches, frog and bayo are 1935 dated, Y straps from 1928 and RR7.

GM24 is pretty complete (mask+cartridge+pipe, without accessories) but only 192 readable.

Breadbag is 1934 dated, as the canteen, and messkit (not on pics) from 1928.

Cleaning kit is 1926 dated and comes from IR13.

Zeltbahn (not on pics) is 1932 dated.

The EK is frim IR50, with "deutsches reichsheer" striked on the back.

The helmet is the later piece, because refurbished in 1937.

    Hope you liked it
    Cheers

    Hello,

Nice start to a display. I love this era of history of the German Army. The transition from Weimar to Third Reich has always been of great interest.

    Great Job!

        Hello Fred,

As I said earlier in the post, I really like this period. I had posted my transition period tunic here before and yesterday posted it on the Wehrmacht Uniforms and Insignia forum : http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=733704

          Hi and thank you

Fred, I just look at your thread
The tunic is really great, but I'm really fond of your little displays of insignias, I love that kind of boards.

Here is the only IR13 marked piece I have, the rifle cleaning kit pouch

And I agree when you say it's a great period to collect, the classy of the tunic let us think they were doing war in tuxedo, and it's a great period of inovation, with all the m31 equipement that came out on that period.

            Hello Fred,

I totally agree with you! The style of the tunic is unbelievably nice and is very classy. I would love to own a moleskin tunic! Great material.

I love the transition of the specialty patches from small emblem on reseda green to larger emblem on dark green. You can also find variations of those too with Large emblems on reseda green and small emblems on dark green.

That IR13 Cleaning kit is fantastic. If you ever think of moving that along ,please drop me a line.

Thank you for the complements on the insignia displays. I am really anal-retentive about that. I love arrainging them in different catagories/groupings.

            Best regards,
            Fred
