Weimar Top Hat

Some have probably seen this up for sale.

I have some vintage top hats and also like Weimar/RW items so this for me is quite a nice item, but I wanted to check first is it what it claims to be; an official Weimar state oficial's/politician's Top hat or is just a top at with the eagle on it and the box?

I don't know if "official" hats for politicians existed, but I think the eagle stamp could be only in the hat, because it is a hat with a Patent from the Weimarer Republik.

Below the eagle on the box it also reads "patent", so I believe it is as thought, simply a Tophat with a Weimar period Patent.


Still a nice item though.
