Good fakes of this badge are sold by the "club".

It looks ok. But, I'm not an expert on these.

I'd post it in the Imperial forum, as well because there are many veteran badge and medal collectors who post there.

        Hello!
Is there nobody that knows these badges?? I have now tried to take some better pics but its not easy this time of year in Finland...NO SUNLIGHT! But i tried my best.
I can still send it back if its a bad one? It looks very well done....but i am no expert.

        Kind regards Tommy

I have always wanted one of these badges, but I have never bought one. Why? They were heavily faked during last years and I have no picture of an original badge for comparing. Some of the fake badges have a really good quality. One or two years ago a similar rarer badge appeared on ebay. The same design! But made for Freikorpskämpfer. I have never seen another one for Freikorpskämpfer.

PS: I would be interested in a picture of an original, too.

I agree. The problem is that absolutely excellent fakes are offered by "the club" that are indistinguishable from the one shown here. I have never seen an original picture of one being worn or in a period catalogue. Even reputable dealers, who charge a lot for these, by the way seem to have the same type. So, it's almost impossible to determine real from fake.
