came across this today. I think the case is no good but because the front of the medal looks convincing too me i would like to ask you guys. What do you think of this medal?
Does the first class exist with a screwback? Sorry for sloppy pictures.

This is the one currently on eBay Germany. It has been offered before.

Yes, they did make private purchase ones as clamshell screwbacks during the TR.

The pictures aren't very good, which may be intentional. You need to see a close-up of the enamel work and how cleanly it is flush with the silver highlights.

Personally, I wouldn't bid on it, without better pictures.

The box is definitely wrong.
