Unknown - Reichswehr Stickpin ?

Came across this quite small stick-pin, offered as a Reichswehr piece 1934. It could be Reichswehr, but as late as 1934 I'm not so sure. On the back is the maker's mark "Hoffstätter -Bonn" Any help appreciated.

This style eagle is very similar to the german gardners badges eagles.
