take a look at thiese two scans:

Scan #1 - Are these insignas acceptable mounted on the shoulder straps?

Scan #2 - These insignas were always mounted on the "old" imperial collar tabs or there were freikorps proper collar tabs (like these all-blacks ones)?

Aren't the insignia mounted upsidedown on the shoulder straps?

This is the only correct way to worn this insigna, I suppose.

It's the common way indeed, but I've already seen it being worn on the left arm.

I believe you gentlemen, but is strange and there must be a reason for it.Any theories on the origins of this tradition? Usually, upsidedown,nationalistic symbols mean the country is in trouble.Possible meaning??
