Is this Prussian Lion Order original?? If so, how bad is the value reduced due to the crude (but old) catch repair???

Tom, I have one of these as part of a Bavarian group. They were issued postwar by the Colonial Veterans' Association, and were private-purchase items. They also came in a version suspended from a ribbon, although apparently there was only one class. Yours looks like it might have been refinished, as it looks very shiny. They are not that common, but the repair will affect the value accordingly.
