      Hi Canutt,
It looks nice, the only concern is about the back brand new look.
If you would like came at www.wolrdwar.it, thats a new forum and I just posted a Freikorp Helmet.

      Cheers

        Hi Mario,

it's always very hard to tell for badges that don't have a specific Freikorps design, but could as well have been worn by (very numerous) local German shooting societies (Schützenvereine). You'll never be 100% sure. It's all about faith...

          Gilles, thanks fpr you reply.
I know tha insignias of some freikorps were copied in nazi era or used even before freikorps period, for example FK Goldingen or FK Probstmayr; are you sure that this inisgnia is not used only by FK Osterroht?

          Thanks,
          Mario

            Hi Mario,

a lot of German (and Austrian) shooting or hunting societies used (and still use!) insignia & badges with the hunt-related motives oakleaves & acorn. The problem is that if some Freikorps that had money and/or good relations to manufacters had some bespoke insignia or badges produced for them (with their name on it, for instance), others just went to the next shop and just bought already existing badges. These badges already existed, were produced, sold for others.. maybe during a very long time, compared to the short Freikorps time. That's why it's so hard to say...
For example, there's a FK balloon unit (don't ask me for the name!) that used the Austrian ww1 Flieger/balloon collar badge.
            Regards
            Gilles
