    Freikorps Flag?

I just got this photo from eBay, but cannot identify the flag. Is it a Freikorps flag or is it something else?

Thanks for the help! The seller said it was a Freikorps flag and I couldn't read the script writing correctly before posting the flag so my Google searches didn't come up with anything.

        From the song:
"Wir sind des Geyers Schwarze Haufen"
        "Spieß voran! Drauf und dran!"
What is the second word on the flag? It is not "sind".

I can't seem to find almost anything on Google about the flag other than the song which mentions a red cock, and black being symbolic for Geyers followers.

Does the back of the photo say "Lobberen"? Is this Dutch? It is also marked "Brovira" on the back, a type of Agfa film -- maybe this will help a little with the date since it was manufactured from the 1930's to 1960's from what I can find.

Any idea on when this photo was taken, where, or why? Maybe for some ceremony with the SS division, or did the division use ONLY the name "Florian Geyer"?

            Geyer

My freand is an Urahn from Florian Geyer.

            and give me this ...

Freyburg an der Unstrut - Thingplatz Neuenburg - built 1934-37.

Giebelstadt - The area in front of the ruins of the Florian Geyer castle were used as a Thingplatz; now used for the "Florian Geyer" outdoor drama in the summer. (Florian Geyer was a leader in the 16th century peasants' revolt called the Bauernkrieg, and adopted as a popular hero by the Nazis.)

I guess I have a photo for one of these performances at a Thingplatz. The person standing next to the flag appears to be wearing tights, leather boots common to medieval Europe, and maybe the type of hat Geyer's followers wear.

I found this page on Thingplatz sites:
              http://www.thirdreichruins.com/thingplatz.htm

This site says the Geyer festivals are held in Giebelstadt; first Florian Geyer festival was in 1925.
