Grouping Iron Division

Hello,
few months ago this nice grouping crossed my way.
It belongs to Telegraphist Friedrich Scheumann, Eiserne Fernsprech-Abteilung.
Documents of st. george cross and woundet in Action badge are missing.
Red army commanders badge is possibly war booty.
Like to share this nice rare grouping with you.

Yes. In his new book on Freikorps awards, Ingo Haarcke has a chapter on this and other Imperial awards, such as wound badges, pilot's badges etc. that continued to be awarded specifically for Freikorps service.

This is a great group. As the Iron Division is one of my specialties, I would kill to own this group.

mmmm. Haarcke needed to do better research for that book. There several problems throughout.

I had no idea that WW1 period awards continued to be awarded after the war, for events that occurred after Armistice. What is the latest known such award?

The latest award for Freikorps actions would be 1921. But, retroactive awards for WWI service continued until 1924 for the Iron Cross and well into the 1930s for the wound badge.

This is a fantastic grouping.
I have seen some copies, Very few originals of some of these for sale; but this entire group is just wonderful.
