    Weimar period Visor?

    Hello all,
Got this visor going through an estate, not much province on where it came from. Not much of a Weimar guy but the cap looks similar to WW2 visors. Anyone have an idea exactly what this is?

My guess would be post-WWII Bundeswehr with an added Reichs-kokade and Third Reich wreath that someone thought would jazz it up.

    It's certainly not Weimar period.

Pictures made indoors with a flash do not show much useful information. Try going outside and place it on a surface where no hand is needed so we can see the actual color of the hat. Close-up details are important.

It looks like a 1930's German Red Cross visor cap to me.

I will get some better photos of it after work today, it was found with a ww2 german helmet as well but the helmet was painted black over the top

DRK visor period made with DRK oakleaves .
The cockade has replaced the DRK smaller eagle .
Early postwar modification to denazify the cap and wear it ? 1945-49 ?

I think after reviewing the cap itself, I believe it is a DRK Visor. Does the Cockade that replaced the DRK eagle go with the oak leaves (meaning is it the correct cockade for this visor?)
I really appreciate all the help

Perhaps you could move it to the Third Reich forum for more answers, as it is not Weimar period and doesn't belong here.

The following link would be a more appropriate place to post what is as it turns out, an EM DRK visor cap. A similar (officer's) cap is in post #1 that starts the thread.

BTW, IMO the cockade on yours is not Third Reich, but for a 1919-20 Freikorps/Reichswehr enlisted man's visor.
