As is typical for the MAX show, the pickings for East German stuff was pretty slim (with the exception of Ralph's and Kevin's tables of course).
But tucked in the nooks and crannies I did manage to find a couple of things that I could use for my collection.
I found a set of Vopo summer/winter jacket and pants complete with the quilted thermal liner inserts. No fur collar unfortunately, but for $20 I'm still happy nonetheless.
Also found a mint Kampfgruppen Schiffchen with the early cockade.
One guy had an early dagger with maker mark and pearlescent grip, but at $250 I thought it was a bit pricey just for the dagger alone. Still it was nice to see a DDR dagger on the table along with the 3rd Reich daggers.
All in all it was a good time window shopping and catching up with Ralph and Kevin. The guy I got the Schiffchen from said he had more DDR stuff at home and would let me know what he has. We'll see if he follows through. He also had some great stories from his time in the service with the US Army during the Wendezeit.
