Are the collar tabs metal ? I think 1962 is the manufacturers code and the date is "C"

Tony James, I believe you are correct......Let's call the DATE C 1983............ metal tabs.........thanks for the information.........., so with correct date in hand......shouldn't the hat be lighter GREY?
