Heh, someone was trying to smuggle some Third Reich medals!

I like these types of videos, gives you some good insight into the mindset of the DDR.

      About insight,
maybe some of our Members remember the "Good old Times", maybe while stationed there.
Stasi footage from West-Berlin in 1976.
I love this one, because I saw everything live back then.

I remember Soxmis Tourist tours from the 70's and 80's, there was a black Car with 4 Officers in, they were waiting at Argentinische Allee at the Aral Filling Station for the 3 others (US, GB & F) and when complete, they started their Tour. I could see them from my Room, so often I went downstairs, just to watch the Guy's.
Was funny, no reaction even when I pressed my Nose against the Window.
They were sitting like Mannequins in a Shops window.

For the ones who served in Berlin, around 1:12 McNair & S&S can be seen, before also Clay HQ Housing Areas, Marienfelde Station etc. quite interesting.
Around 1:6 Krumme Lanke Subway Station, left of it still is the before mentioned Aral Filling Station.
        That's where I grew up.
