German Peace Medal..Info needed

Thanks again..No,I couldn't find any info on the value of this medal so far..no auctions on ebay etc....What I could find out is that this medal was also awarded to foreign people...as you've said,it's probably quite a rare medal..Thats what I have found on the internet:

"Der Deutsche Friedensrat der DDR verleiht dem britischen Mathematiker und Philosophen, Lord Bertrand Russell, in Würdigung seiner konsequenten pazifistischen Bemühungen, die Carl-von-Ossietzky-Friedensmedaille."


I have never heard of an Carl-von-Ossietzky..but its funny if you look at his surename OSSIE-tzky
I can't really take a proper close up,because my camera is just not good enough(2.1 pixel) and the medal is too shiny and is reflecting too much.
Here is a pic in the best quality I can get...
The guy is not wearing glasses...

any tips how to clean the Interimspange as it is a bit dirty..or just leave it as it is??
