Video of 1989 NVA Parade in Berlin?

Hi there, does anyone have a VHS or digital video of the NVA Parade on 7th October 1989 in Berlin? I am mostly interested in the marching blocks of the Military Academies and I would really like to have a copy of it...can you help>???? Please? Cheers, Torsten.

PS: I know they exist...I have phoned the ZDF (West German TV) before and asked for a copy and they had it, but wanted serious money for it...

    Torsten,

Among the videos of the NVA I currently have, are two that are of Military Parades in Berlin. I have not viewed them in a very long time, and therefore at the moment, do not at present recall in what years they were filmed. I will be very busy this week. However, next weekend, I will review them. If one of them is the one about which you are asking, I will have it copied. I will then PM you to arrange to send it to you. Don't worry, they are in PAL format so it will work fine.

    Tschuess,

Ok I would not recommend E-Donkey or kazaa, as its full of spy ware. Best one I think is Limewire, it runs on gnutella network. Youll get it from www.download.com Next you should get lavasoft thats good for cleaning pc which will be found at www.lavasoft.de

            Any probs let me know

Thank you very much for the info...I had a look at it..but this one is the one for the 1988 parade... I am after the 1989 parade...I participated in it and I have seen myself in it a couple of times on DDR TV at the time and also once on the History Channel...oddly enough, while sitting in a hotel in New York some years ago... ...I am only in it for about 3 seconds, but I would still like to show it to my children one day... Cheers, Torsten.

                        Torsten,

I feel certain one of the two parade tapes I have will be the one from 89. As stated before, these tapes are in the PAL format. I have a Universal TV and VCR. This weekend, I will review these two tapes. If one is of the 89 parade, I will have it duplicated and will arrange to send it to you. I don't auction stuff on ebay and I don't sell on the E-stand. I collect. So next time I'm in Germany (Spring next year?) you can buy me a Berliner Kindl.

We can then watch you together on the television at the Kneipe while we drink our beer. Prost !

Actually they can and in some cases do. Some members are deliberately a little more cautious about how much information they give relevant their exact address - sign of the times in which we live. Wish it were otherwise.
