I am looking for general and detailed information regarding the medical branch and its activities, responsibilities, equipment etc.

I have the dvd " NVA sanitäter " and a little booklet called " erste hilfe " describing all matter of injuries and its fixes.

But thats it. No unit build up sheets. No operational details. Just the basics of the care they give and how.

But seeing as its for re enactment purposes idd like to be as detailed as possible of course.

Arent there any books?

I ones had a website/blog of some chap how was rebuilding aa DRK ambulance. He had a wide arrangement of info regarsing but cant find it anymore. Maybe somebody here knows it??

I will try to get you some information. Not sure how much I will find but I'm sure I will find something.

I suggest you try to find the "Handbuch fuer Sanitaeter" (447 pages). This covers a lot, including the duties and responsibilities in various peace and war time roles (from administering first aid to how to fill in the various forms if injured on the battlefield.
Also, I will scan some data sheets of vehicles and other equipment used, like mobile shower units and similar.

Here are a few scans of the various wheeled vehicles used. All scans from "K054/3/074, Typen der Kraftfahrzeugtechnik, Kraeder und Kraftfahrzeuge, 1990 (approved on 24.11.1989)"
I have yet not found my references of the SPW-152 and MT-LB, modified for use by the medics.
