    Hello
Im a Collector of East German Militaria. I've just joined this nice Forum and want to say HELLO to everyone.
I'm from Germany(East) and like to see how much the Collectors community is growing.
I have seen alot very rare Things here (Visors,Badges,Tunic) that I haven't seen before.Very informative.
I would like to post some pics of my small DDR collection. Dont know if it works. Because the membership I've joined here ,I'm unable to post the pics straight in the Forum..is this right??
Ok,here is my first try to post pics of my Collection :

      figured out now..
Just click or copy and paste this link : edited

and it should take you to the Site where my pics are.

      just click on DDR Collection

Maybe someone can give me some Info about the old Grenztruppen Visors Hat.
The Hat is from 1965 and has the old WWII Visor and silver cords.
I need to know why this Hat has the Eichenlaubkranz made of metal. Because if you see closely you'll see that the Eichenlaubkranz is different to the normal ones. This one is much more detailed and is not connected with the Kokade.
I had a look at the Backside of the Eichenlaubkranz if there is any Stamp, because I've thought it is maybe made in WWII. But there was no Stamp.
I've got this Hat from an old NVA Storehouse. So it is Original and its impossible that someone just manipualted this Eichenlaubkranz. I couldn't find any Info about the Eichenlaubkranz of this Hat.

P.S. Sorry for the doubled Thread(New Mensa Member).Maybe someone can cancel the first one. Thanks

Thanks alot to everyone here in the Forum for the nice Welcome..

I'm a Newbie too.. I've started collecting DDR/NVA Stuff a year ago and still need to learn alot about it.That was one of the reasons why I have joined this nice and informative Forum.
I started collecting TR Stuff but there are too many Fakes around and its to hard to find or to get Originals and DDR/NVA Militaria is also much more affordable than TR.

I'll go on a Fleamarket on Sunday in Brandenburg. There is one main dealer for DDR/NVA.
If anyone wants me to have a look for something, please let me know.

                    Hi Thälmannpionier
I agree with you there about TR militaria, 2 many fakes and really expensive, hence with a student budget I started collecting DDR Militaria last summer and its fun! My small collection is shown on the DDR forum. You mentioned that you were going to the market on sunday, if so let me know what kind of items he/she has.

                    Many thanks

                          Hi all

I was on the Fleamarket, but unfortunetly it was cold and rainy today,so the special DDR/NVA Dealer didn't show up

I could grab some old Pins, there were laying around in a Box with all kind of Pins and Buttons. Nothing really special I think, except a nice old FDJ Pin with stamped Number on the backside.

If you click the link to my Album and then click on " Market Pieces" you can have a look
