I strongly recommend you consider also posting your SKS Sling question on the Gunboards DDR Forum to double your chances of getting a response. The members of that Forum are very knowledgeable about hand carried weapons, field gear and re-enactment. You may get a quicker response there.

Did you mean "taschen" as in pouches, or "riemen" as in sling?
The only sling I ever saw that might have been a Karabiner S sling looked a little like the late war/early Czech sling for G43 and K98. Instead of having a keeper on the end of the sling it had the end folded over and sewn. I no longer remember if it just had holes and a barbell to adjust it, or it it had some sort of buckle that was detachable, in the manner of a Gew98 sling. Somewhere you may see a small black and white photo from a government booklet that shows an East German SKS with a sling, but I don't think you can make out much detail.

Other than photos of the Freiderich Engels Wachregiment, I find it extremely difficult to locate photographs of the DDR SKS carbine in use. I've seen one photo that shows NVA troops using Soviet carbines. Hopefully, importers will find a cache of DDR surplus SKS rifles to import for sale, but I'm not holding my breath.

Taschen means something more like "pocket", taschenlampe = flashlight, taschenuhr = pocketwatch and so on. And so Patronentaschen are cartridge pouches. Riemen can be used to describe most any sort of strap or sling except for a belt...but true enough, both can carry things.
I have a book with a photo of a sailor presenting arms with an SKS - model unknown. Also some DGP, or Grenztruppen, maybe with one. I can't tell well enough in any of the photos to see if they have sling slots or cleaning rods...I'll have to check. My new stock sure isn't bored for a cleaning rod!! Im fabricating a cupped buttplate for it, as I don't think I'll find a real one. At least, I never saw one for sale.
