    I bought this flag on Ebay , it goes well with the other flags I have from the Mansfeld Kombinat and the bronze schild I have from the Krughütte , where the famous Lenin statue was hidden during the war .
    I will show better photos when it arrives .

                      Its a lovely item I have to say, something I have admired many times - but I have a thing about the Elite Shock Troops of the SED 8)

                        i have never really come across these folders before. there are not exactly loads of them out there and so I do not think that it was a standard kind of present for 20 years KG service ... Cheers, Torsten.

                          Well, 20 years service is a lot, but maybe not for the KdA.... as they say, there are old fighters and there are bald fighters and in the KdA there are plenty of old, bald fighters

                            I think that this particular type of folder was only given to members of the KG who were also members of the SED at the same time, but that is only a guess .... not everyone who was in the KG was also a member of the SED. Cheers, Torsten.
