    Gray, padded Grenzer uniform

    Hallo Genossen,

I'm sure we have at one point discussed the gray, padded winter uniform worn by Grenzers.

Could someone please point me to the right thread?

Please note that the below individual is also wearing subdued collar tabs.

    Many thanks,
    TJ

It was not just for Grenzer. The point is that the padded winter suit never existed in a Blumentarn pattern and was made in Steingrau for a number of years, even overlapping the introduction of the Strichtarn. Here is my best example dated 1967:

Genosse iannima, has confirmed correct declassified laid down dress regulation norms follow by UK SSR NVA Reconstructors.

I too hold such scales of issue within my Rezidency, Genosse Guardian 5.

I have a number of these also but have not been able to find any readable markings in them to indicate date of manufacture.

I have a steingrau Winter jacket & pants set dated 1963.

I also have a Winter strichtarn jacket dated 1974, which I believe is about when they were first introduced.

                Matteo und Viktor,

One couldn't have hoped for a more complete answer to my query. Thanks very much for the information.
