I've only seen this one. RPG bag-like, but it is only a cushion with loops on the back to carry...something. Not even the East Germans seem really sure - the best guess I got is a carrier for the automatic grenade launcher. Any photos of such a device in use?

I don't think you are going to be too successfull in getting a resolution to your question here on this particular Forum, as it is mostly about memorabilia, as opposed to DDR Field Gear and weapons.

I hadn't noticed that this was just for "memorablila", just thought it was for DDR NVA stuff. I'm a member of the forum you gave a link to, and I've already posted it there without any luck at all. I thought perhaps there might be somebody here who just might know what it was. Thanks for your help, though.

It isn't just for memorabilia. What I meant to infer was that the current membership is primarily interested in memorabilia. The site to which I referred you has a membership that has interests that are more in line with the question you asked. Because it might be some time before you get a favorable and helpful response to your question on this Forum, I gave a reference to the other, where I believe you will get a much faster response.
