          Gentlemen,
          I wanted to wake this subject sometimes again from the long sleep.

          During my "investigations" I found an intresting installation of figures about former Wehrmacht in the KVP/NVA. I is incliudet in a diploma paperwork:
          "Volksarmee schaffen--ohne Geschrei!"

              It would be interesting to see the numbers of how many were in prior to 1950.

                    hello Ralph,some off the former wehrmacht came back from the sovjet prison camp in 1947/1948.You could go back and join the new police forces,ore stay in the sovjet union .
                    What I understand is that in the end off the 40's a third was former wehrmacht

                      This is a very interesting West German propaganda book about officers in the NVA and particularly about officers that had served in the Wehrmacht with high ranks, etc...
