This fellow is definitely an interesting one. I'm not sure what his real purpose in the scheme of things was. That he received an NVA specific award (Not given to civilians) consisting of the Verdienstmedaille der Nationalen Volksarmee (signed no less than by Mielke) is profound. I would say his association with the Stasi was more than "Casual". And his background definitely, given some of the awards, was military.

I don't recall from the first post you made. Did you say this guy was a "Military" Professor? I forget.

This collection is absolutely "Top Notch". Remarkable. Very impressive. You did very well to acquire it. I'm glad it went to someone like you who will appreciate it for what it is.

Michael, Barth was not a professor, that was Karl Greese from who I have nine medals and documents.
