    Picked up this today. It seems to me like flight engineers? What do you guys make of it? Cheers.

      Hi Tom,

      What you've got yourself there is a nice example of a Conscript NVA Air Force Visor Cap. The identifiers just for your knowledge are:

      a). Cap is wool (Conscript)
      b). Blue piping is Air Force
      c). Smaller type Wings
      d). Closed Wreath on Propellor

      The Letter "I" inside the Cap signifies that it is a 1982 production Cap.

      Nice hat Tom. Congratulations.

      One thing though: If you can find one, you need to exchange the silver braid for the black plastic band. The silver ones only go on the officer caps.
