    Hi Mark,

Here is a link to another DDR specific forum that is predominantly concerned with Field Gear and the different types of Camouflage used by the NVA. There are many threads and I’m sure after searching through some of them, you will find what you are looking for.

        camo

Thank's for replies and help guys! I have found some info on east german camo, but I did't noticed the camo I'm looking for. It's like german ww2 green-brown-rain camo, just without brown colour... My friend told me that it's east german but aparently it's not. Maybe it's west german, or russian, I'm just guessing, but it looks like ww2 german...

        Any toughts?

I'm certainly no expert on old NVA uniforms but it sounds to me as if you are looking for some late 50ies/early sixties Blumentarn camouflage pictures. Try a search in the other forum (Michael posted the link) and look for Blumentarn.

              Should get you somewhere.

Here is Pattern 2 leaf camo with hood. The tip of the hood bears a camo faceveil.

Thank you for all help and replyes everyone! I think I have found what I was looking for on the site www.hendrikc.dk/camouflage - this camo looks very much like ww2 german, and it is originaly bulgarian and it was used by the bosnian army in the nineties...

Although I'm not completly sure that this is the camo I was searching, it looks wery much like the one I have seen a few days back. Did any other army had camo like this one?

Here is the link to bulgarian & bosnian camo:

Well I suppose it looks a bit like fascist German "splinter" pattern - the jagged bits and the "rain" background.

Actually, it looks a bit like one of the bad repro's of WW2 German cammo ;-)

We saw a real bad example of something similar only yesterday...

Well, to me, it looks like ww2 german camo- but I am no expert... If it's not the same camo, it's quiet similar in the design. Also it was used by different army and it's normal that it's different but it can be seen, where the designers of this camo got the inspiration
