    cap cords

    Good Day Gents.

    I have a question..

I came across a bag of silver capcords that were removed from the grey caps we see so much, however some of the cords are thicker than others and the zig zag pattern across the cords runs in the other direction, no matter how you turn the cord, its still running in the other direction. I heard that these were early 1950's/60's cords. Can anyone confirm this information or is it a load of cobblers . I can post pics if needed.

    thanks

Here is a picture which I hope answers your question, it's easier to see it than explain it!

So far as I know they were used at the beginning of the NVA. I think they are pretty much the same as the WWII ones. I don't know when they stopped producing these, but the latest cap I've seen one on is from the early 70s. I wouldn't mind having one if you could spare it..

            More cords

Then when was the officer hat cord that doesn't have the slip feature for adjusting used?
