Yes, it's really interesting. I like the Kampftruppen sign (the patch with the gun and the flag).

Hey Adrian, Soviet, and Viktor...thanks for the comments and replies on the thread. I am adding three different images that also deal with the Kampfgruppen. All three images below involve sometype of discussion being presented by a senior member of STASI. The photos were taken in the very late 1960s very early 1970s. I hope you enjoy...

                  MfS? .

The pic was taken during the Winter uniform dress period,(the blank face fellows furhat is on the table) back when the KG worn their coverall combats rather than the form fitting uniform (1960's?)

Hey Viktor...here you go...two different hat types...The uniformed officer in the back is a senior STASI officer while the officer in the front row is a STASI general. The below image was taken in the 1975/76 timeframe and is of a STASI VIP visit. Hope you enjoy...

PS...Hey DaveM...good to hear from you...and thanks for the comments...

It was great seeing these photos. Why are DDR military photos so difficult to find(originals)?

Hey Paul...thanks for the comments...I can not speak of the DDR or of the NVA, but from the STASI side of the house...I believe in Germany there continues to be a lot of activity and stigma about the STASI and its former members from the local population. So I believe it is easier to bury the original photos then it is to show themselves and others since they are not to well liked by their own population and photographs may come back to haunt them... <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
