    1960 Officer Gesellschaft Uniform

Hello chaps... back again... a quick pop in / pop out before moving to a new house next month... which will enable me to go through all my stored stuff in my basement and why not dig out some forgotten treasures in some boxes...
Recently I was a lucky man with this gorgeous uniform I got for a few bucks... (the professional seller obviously did not know what he was selling !)
The pics tell it all (at least I hope)...

Nice Engineer ensemble. That you were able to acquire the trousers is awesome.

OK, I can't deny it ...... I am GREEN with envy!!!

I think this is the first pair of black piped officer trousers I have seen.

This might just be the catch of the year! I wish there were more "sellers" like this over here in the US!!

I'm still a comparative neophyte, but not only does this ensemble look excellent but it raises a little question in my mind.
1960 stamped engineer's uniform? So, he might have had a busy time in 1961 on a certain engineering project?

Thank you all for your comments !
Since Engineers are not really in my collection theme, I will have to trade it or sell it some day... to afford some GT or Stasi stuff...

With the uniform there was this extra pair of shoulder boards...
Here are pictures for comparison purposes... As far as I can remember, I have never seen this type of back strap before... Have you ?
                    Maybe tailor made ?
When I have some spare time, I shall shoot pics of the shoulder boards that are attached to the tunic.

Very nice tunic. Specially like the trousers with the straps on the side and the braces buttons
on the inside. Also interesting to see on each side the button or Boutonnière hole.
