Some questions about KdA and VOPO...

Hi, I have some questions about Kampfgruppen and VOPO regulations after seeing some photos.

    1. What shirts were worn under the KdA field uniforms? I know that dress/parade is white shirt and maroon tie. Some photos show a number of differant colored and styles of shirt. Could the individual wear whatever they wanted?

    2. Is there a regulation on awards and decorations worn on the dress/parade uniform? Right side for example I've seen marksman and bester badges worn above and below the pocket. Also, what are the rules for wearing Soviet badges? There are photos of Kämpfers wearing badges all over their jackets in no particular order.

    3. How does a Kämpfer earn rank? By merit, years on the job, or years in the KdA or SED?

    4. What are the blue FDJ ribbons for and why would a polizist where them on the right side over pocket of green jacket?

    More questions later. Thanks!

    1. They had nice Dederon Shirts in grey and white, but mostly, when used white, they used private ones. A Dederon Shirt in Summer is like a garbage bag, you sweat like a pig.

    2. The Standard Awards & Decorations Regulation as for everybody else.

    3. Normally by good conduct and Courses who give the experience for the Rank/Job.

    4. Sound's like the Arthur Becker Medaille. Could be earned by everybody who worked in & with the FDJ.

After reading Nicos response above I looked around and found this nice Dederon shirt. That was the first I've ever heard of them and this is the first example I've seen. Very high quality, fancy cuff-links.

That's it. I think the cufflinks are for Transport only. I guess they used others while wearing it but I must say, even in the Big Lots I got in the Past, I never found some.
