Hey David...Heck yes I would like to see your old STASI tunics. Also the collar tabs are machine sewn and the tunic does not show any signs of ever having cuff patches or tabs...
Also, I am going to post another old 1950s tunic on the forum to get an expert opinion from you and others...again thanks for the background information you provided yesterday about my other tunic...Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Hi Ralph,
Nice Dark Collar Stasi Tunic. I particularly like the fact it is marked MfS inside. More often they were marked NVA than not.
David,
I have a question. I noted this Tunic has a hanger inside for the Dagger for I presume, use as a Walking out Tunic. I'm wondering if the Tunic were not originally meant to be a Parade Tunic, and therefore, should have Cuff Bars, which are absent? Can you further elaborate?Michael D. GALLAGHER

Mike, you are absolutely right, this tunic was originally designed to be a parade tunic, as the standard service tunic would be unpiped. But in reality alot of piped tunics were used for everyday wear. And you've got to remember after the introduction of the open collar tunics the old style dark collar tunics were down graded to service wear, which is why you see so many without cuff patches.
