Air Force Collar Tab placement question

    Hellooo peoples,

How's everyone doin'? Last week I ordered a Luftverteidigung gabardine visor hat, some Major shoulderboards, an officer cockade, and a paper ribbon off Gowen. I'm still waiting on them to come in the mail.

In the mean time, I've figured out the next uniform I want to complete. It is that of a Luftstreitkrafte Unteroffizier auf Zeit. When I save up some money, I'll buy the hat and shoulderboards.

As for the tunic, Hessen Antique sells them at half the price Gowen does, so I'll buy from there. However...they are the EM versions with no collar tress. I find it looks rather plain like that. So, I'm going to spruce it up with some NCO tress! But I've got a question regarding that...

Are the positions of the collar tabs on both the EM and NCO tunics the same? Because I'm not sure. If the placement is different then I can't sew on the tress, and then I'll have to content myself with being a Soldat.

Well, actually...In the event that I keep the EM tunic as-is, I'm going to use Stabsgefreiter shoulderboards - I'll simply order the Soldat boards from Gowen, then order the Gefreiter bars from Hessen, as they're a dollar each...If I just ordered the Stabsgefreiter boards off Gowen I'd be spending an extra dollar.

A quick question about that...Can someone give me an approximate date as to when the silver tress and metal Gefreiter bars were used?

Don't have my reference here, the Books are still in my Kassel Boxes, so I can't answer the Metal Bar question about the Timeframe but the Collars have to be sewn with the right distance from the edge that a Collar Tresse can be added later, so it should be no problem to add it.
