    Options insignia tunic?

Now I've recently received this 1963-dated piped officers tunic. As far as my impression goes, these were mainly used for parades. The most logical option as for the insignia is the earlier (<1966) collar tabs and Armelpatten.

As these are hard to find (and expensive), I started wondering about other possibilities. What about the early (>1956) collar tabs for service? Were they already using their piped uniforms for dienst in 1963? The earliest I've seen in that configuration was an NCO's uniform of 1965...
The third option is a set of metal insignia, which were (according to Walther) used from 1966 on. I guess this is historically most incorrect?

Any suggestions as to what is possible, and what not? I already know which fit best and worst, but just wondering what is actually a possible combination.

Thanks, that makes it really easy for me!
Did they do this from the beginning on already?

It must have been from the VERY beginning, because I have seen photographs of Horst Stechbarth wearing such a tunic when he commanded the 1MSD in Potsdam and that was late 1950s

This one is not dated but it must be around 1964/65 not later, because they are wearing the hooded Blumentarn with shoulder boards. You will notice the white piping showing on the collar of the officer on the left.
