Airborne shoulder boards, original or repro?

I got these boards.
The base of the boards is a little unusual in fabric, it doesn't look like wool which is used on senior officer's boards. I doubt if these are reproduction, but need your opinions. Has anyone else come across shoulder boards with base like these?

Although I'm not very knowledgeable in this area, I'd hazard a guess that they're just very late boards, with new material that were to become standard use before other things happened.

I could be wrong, though. I know for sure they're not fakes

Sadly they are fakes.
the Top is original, but form something unintersting.
A well known faker from Berlin started with these "Bastelfilz" ( Art & Craft felt) Boards. Even the late ones were made from Biesentuch (Piping Cloth).

Even officer's shoulderboards are being faked now? It looks like DDR collecting is going down the same road as Third Reich collecting did...

Frank, you can get original Fallschirmjager Sr. Officer's shoulderboards from Gowen Militaria, but they are kind of expensive.

What do you say about these junior officer's boards? these look no problem to me.

The backing material looks just like the kind on my Air Force Junior Officer's shoulderboards. I'd say they're authentic.
