    VOPO Dienstuniform

    Genossen,
    Could you help me with this new Direction for a mostly LaSK minded kind of Genosse,
    I'm looking for identification and periods of wear, Ranks it could carry. 1970 dated.

    Not sure of the exact period of wear (apart from the year 1970 obviously), but I'm pretty sure this is a "Bereitschaftspolizei"-tunic (barracked police). I had one of these once, which carried the rank of "Anwaerter". I guess you could also put "Unterwachtmeister" and "Wachtmeister" (perhaps even "Oberwachtmeister"?) on it as well.
    By the way, mine was of later issue (late 80's), and was of gabardine, not like yours, a nice woolen one!

      I have the gabardine variant which I'm outing Trousers/ Breeches/ Jackets, the Serge 1970's style is now my only active apart of my tiny VOPO Collection.

        These, a bit smaller Collars with green Cord at the Border were used from 1965-1980 for all Wachtmeister and Unterführer Ranks as Walther states.

          Without starting a new thread I wanted to plant these photos of some of my new VOPO uniforms.
          Since I didn't have "original" ribbon bars already together, I use photos or Urkunde groupings to get ideas of what should be "correct".







          my lighting is bad and therefore the color is a bit off
