      Nice hats and helmets! I've never seen a grey helmet cover before. What would this have been used for?

          Lastly I have a pic of the liner for the plastic parade helmet. This is very light and comfortable to wear. My example had one of the straps fitter the wrong way round.

          Two womwn’s hats.

          The inside of the two peak caps. Showing the paper / newspaper paking.

          Other hats in my collection include: two fireman’s caps burgundy piping, one other blue cap with light blue piping – I don’t know what that is?

          Border guard pilot – border guard cap with air force badge.

          Three Navy caps, Officer, NCO and OR with one white summer top.

          Navy fur cap.

          Two para berets – one subdued one parade.

          Vopo caps

          Army caps

          Guard regiment officer’s tunic

          A LP recording of the Guard Regiment band

          Three books about the NVA and their badges

          NVA soldier’s handbook

          I have a feeling that some of these items are more unusual than others but no real idea if any of it is really rare. If anyone can tell me I would be interested to know.

            Roy,

            <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

            The gray one is a bit of a mystery to me. Its actually green but doesn’t look it in the photo. I got this later than most of the other stuff. I have a feeling it was made after the Wall came down. I also guess that it may have been intended for export – maybe to somewhere in the former Yugoslavia?

            <o></o>
