some Bereitschaftpolizei, KVP, & early NVA photos

I've been adding some photos to my DDR collection and thought I would share them with the forum. Hope you enjoy them!
First up...A Bereitschaftpolizei with M42-style cap, overcoat, and belt and cross-strap. The rank on the overcoat looks like NCO, but not sure - am not really up on the police ranks. There is no date or other information on the back of this photo.

        A KVP enlisted man

Here is a portrait of a KVP gefreiter. He is wearing two pins on his tunic. The lower pin appears to be a Soviet Komsomol pin - Communist Union of Youth branch of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

          KVP Unterleutnant

Here is a portrait of a KVP Unterleutnant. At first glance the medal appears to be the KVP Service medal, but the design is a little different than the service medal I am familiar with. I can't read the entire inscription on the face of the medal, but the top line is "DDR". The bottom line ends with "....DIENST". Can someone identify this medal and post a pic?

... and the upper badge is from a Mass Sports Event from the early 1950s ... difficult to tell from my screen, but it looks like skiing? Could you zoom in on the badge a little with a new pic and post it? Cheers, Torsten.

              KVP Leutnant

Another portrait, of a KVP Leutnant. He is wearing the same medal as in the previous photo. This tunic appears to have a piped collar.

                KVP Soldat with visor cap

Another KVP portrait, this man appears to be a soldat or maybe gefreiter. I like this photo because of the enlisted/NCO visor cap!

This is the delegate badge for the Deutschlandtreffen der Jugend in Berlin at the end of May 1950. Cheers, Torsten.

                    An early NVA Soldat portrait

A nice portrait with shooting cord and FDJ pin on pocket flap. There is no date on the back of the photo, but the cap appears to have early colored waffenfarbe piping, not the standard white piping.

                      An NVA NCO portrait

Another nice NVA portrait with dark collar, shooting cord and badges. It might be the lighting, but his NCO cap also appears to have colored waffenfarbe piping rather than the standard white piping.

Not an FDJ badge, but a GST shooting award badge from the 1950s like the one below. Cheers, Torsten.

                          Officer candidate with double-breasted jacket

Here is an interesting photo of a Luftstreitskrafte officer candidate wearing a double-breasted jacket.
